1st edition sculptural counter balance ceiling lamp designed by JJM Hoogervorst for Anvia Almelo, Holland, 1955. This lamp is an early 1950s edition, not compared to the later one with plastic details this edition is fully made of metal. This amazing lamp has an off-white lacquered arm, black shade and grey weight. The lamp balances in any wanted position by turning the weight at the back. The shade can also be turned in many ways. An ingenious system by one of the best lighting manufacturers from Holland of their era. Quality wise comparable to Arredoluce and Stilnovo. The wiring has been checked and is in good condition and suitable for the US too. The lacquer has much visible signs of age and use.
